INIKA Baked Mineral Foundation Review

INIKA Baked Mineral Foundation

A while back, I shared with you a makeup look I created using only INIKA products. One of the products that really stood out to me was the INIKA Baked Mineral Foundation, and ever since, I’ve been using it almost every day. I thought it was about time this product deserved a review of it’s own!

INIKA is a brand that I was a bit late to the party trying out. I don’t know why on earth it took me so long to try out their products as pretty much every product I’ve used, I’ve been impressed by. The INIKA brand is certified organic, as well as vegan and cruelty free. Basically, it gets all the ticks a green beauty blogger could possibly give!

The INIKA Baked Mineral Foundation is a fantastic multi-use product. It comes in a sleek black matte compact, with a good closure and a generous sized mirror. There are eight shades to choose from, and I opted for the second lightest, Strength, which is a perfect match for my pale neutral/slightly warm skin.

The silky light powder blends on to the skin beautifully, building up from a sheer layer to a medium coverage. Unlike many other powders, at full coverage it doesn’t look heavy or cakey and it doesn’t move throughout the day. The foundation is extremely natural looking and blends in with my natural skin tone so well, it doesn’t look like I’m wearing makeup.

Alternatively, I’ll use this product as a setting powder over a light foundation like my RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up. It sets the makeup perfectly, offering a matte finish, with just a slight amount of coverage.

Overall I’m extremely impressed with this foundation, and while I don’t generally opt for powder foundations much any more, this has become a staple in my makeup collection. Most days I’ll find myself reaching for this as a setting powder, and on light makeup days I’ll often use it as my foundation of choice. I’ll go so far as saying it’s the best powder foundation I’ve used, and the fact that it’s baked rather than loose means it’s so much less messy than your average powder foundation.

INIKA One brand Makeup of The Day

The INIKA Baked Mineral Foundation retails for $74 and is available at a number of retailers including Nourished Life, and the official INIKA website.

Please note: This product was sent to me by INIKA to try. These views are my personal opinion and are no way influenced by others. I always provide an honest opinion, so you all know which products are worth purchasing

I haven’t tried a mineral powder before but maybe I should give this one a try!
