Max & Co.

While it’s currently the middle of winter, you wouldn’t really know it by looking at these photos! A couple of weeks back, the boyfriend and I went out to Warrington beach for a little drive and to shoot these photos. It was such an incredibly mild day for the middle of July, and the Warrington inlet was as still as can be. While I really can’t complain about winter, I’m really looking forward to heading back out there in summer as it’s such a lovely place.

The real star of this outfit has to be my gorgeous glasses from Max & Co*, who are now stocked at Specsavers. I’ve been a customer at Specsavers for years now, and have always found the team there so friendly and helpful. Getting appointments is a breeze and they also have a fab selection of frames. Recently they kindly let me go in store and choose out two pairs of glasses from the new Max & Co range.  There were lots of different styles and colours to choose from, with some very cool blue and purple frames! I’m still fairly new to wearing glasses on a more full-time basis, so I decided to opt for something a little more subtle as I knew I was likely to wear these more. I chose a gorgeous tortoiseshell pattern and a pair of classic black frames. Personally I love the thicker plastic frames. These glasses feel very durable, which I love, and I also really like that they are larger so that I can’t see under or over them while I’m doing things.

This outfit is very simple but it’s what you’ll find me wearing often to work in the winter. This jersey from Forever New keeps me toasty, while still being on trend with the higher neckline and the longer hem at the back. These ankle boots from Kmart are also a must have – I’ve had this pair for about six months now and I think I must have worn them at least 3 or 4 times every week since then! They only cost $25!

While we were taking these photos there was this rooster just doing his thing in the background…..

Then a dog came along and chased the rooster into a tree. I’ve never seen a rooster fly before and it looked ridiculously awkward! Lucky the rooster managed to escape!

Which frames would you have opted for? Classic black or Tortoiseshell? Let me know below!

Please note: This post was created in collaboration with Max & Co and Specsavers. They kindly let me choose out two pairs of glasses of my choice for free.  These views are my personal opinion and are no way influenced by others. I always provide an honest opinion, so you all know which products are worth purchasing
