I can’t tell you how much fun I’m having on my new safer beauty journey. I’m getting the chance to explore new brands, new ingredients, and new products and it’s such a refreshing change from the same-same products I was reviewing. Some of the brands I’ve stumbled across, I’ve never heard of and I get to experience and try out what they have to offer. Other brands are familiar to me, but I perhaps haven’t used all of their products before. This is the case with Living Nature; I love their skincare products and their Summer Bronze Bronzing Powder but I had never tried much else in their makeup range. The Living Nature team have kindly sent me quite a few products from their makeup range to try out, and I’m excited to share these beautiful products with you over the course of the next couple of months. One product I’ve been particularly impressed with is the Living Nature Thickening Mascara.
I chose the shade Jet Black (because if lashes aren’t the blackest black, then what’s the point, right?) I have to say this is the first mascara I’ve used where my lashes have still felt natural to the touch rather than coated and heavy. Using this mascara gives my lashes the extra thickness and length that I desire, while still keeping them extremely natural looking. They aren’t in the slightest bit clumpy or spidery looking, and the mascara doesn’t smudge or flake off during the day. You don’t get crazy big lashes from this mascara, instead natural gorgeous lashes that are perfectly separated and defined. The formula itself is a great texture and it doesn’t leave the lashes wet for long.
The brush is tapered at the ends, allowing for accurate application on the lower lashes or the lashes at the corners of the eyes. The packaging itself is a matte black rubbery finish which is very NARS-esque. The rim around the top of the tube is tight and removes any excess product from the wand before application. I think this combined with the fantastic formula is the reason this product is so wonderful.
I have to say, I was worried how well natural mascaras would work, and whether they would compete on a level the same as their chemical filled counterparts…. but this could possibly be the best mascara I’ve used for natural looking lashes. I love that it doesn’t feel heavy, and my lashes still look separated rather than awfully clumped together. There’s been a couple of mornings I’ve put this on and then on the drive to work I’ve panicked I haven’t applied mascara, as my lashes just feel so light and natural to the touch! At $41 it’s not the cheapest mascara in the world, but you can be guaranteed it works and it’s perfectly safe and natural. I can really see why this product has won a lot of awards lately – it really deserves it!
Please note: I was sent this product for consideration. These views are my personal opinion and are no way influenced by others. I always provide an honest opinion, so you all know which products are worth purchasing
