The Abbey Rose Honey & Spice Candle

I am an absolute sucker for candles. There’s nothing quite like lighting a candle and enjoying the delicious scent that wafts through the room. In fact, as I type this post I currently have one of my favourite candles burning. It’s a Sunday afternoon, I’m sitting in front of the heater, the rain is pounding on the roof, and I’m feeling so incredibly relaxed. It’s one of my favourite ways to wind down at the end of the week, and the Honey & Spice candle from Abbey Rose is quite possibly one of my current favourite candle scents

It’s a warm, rich scent that sort of envelopes you in a cloud of spicy fragrance. It’s a very calming smell and within just a few moments of being lit, the room starts to fill with fragrance. The candle is described as containing honey, nutmeg and bergamot. You can really smell the nutmeg, and the honey adds just a touch of sweetness to the spice. Notes of agar-wood and sandalwood balance the scent and give it a bit of depth.

The Abbey Rose candles are truly beautiful, both in terms of scent and presentation. They come in a little black glass jar with gold writing and a silver lid. The lid is great as it keeps the candle fresh and dust-free. When the candle arrives, it’s presented in a little velvet bag which is such a beautiful touch.

This is one of those times when I wish that smell-o-vision was a thing already! I really can’t describe how wonderful this candle is. I’m not the best at describing scents so you’ll just have to trust me when I say that it’s so warming and relaxing! A medium sized candle like this one will burn for around 45 hours and retails for $45. Abbey Rose  also stock a range of candles, room diffusers, and room sprays. I’ve got my eye on the new Christmas candles – they sound incredible!
