When it comes to natural lipstick, Living Nature has to be one of my favourite brands. Actually in all honesty, when it comes to natural makeup in general, Living Nature is a favourite! I own quite a few items of Living Nature makeup, as well as some of their beautiful lipsticks. All of the colours I own, I love and use on a regular basis. Their lipsticks are creamy and super hydrating, while also providing a long lasting and vibrant colour. They are moulded in a rather unique shape for lipsticks, being slightly oval – I find this actually makes them much easier to apply.
Living Nature have recently released their Colour Me sets (just in time for Christmas!) These stunning sets offer three colour co-ordinated lipsticks and come packaged in a beautiful gift box. There are three sets to choose from;
- Colour Me Vibrant: a selection of brighter red toned lipsticks. Includes shades Pure Passion, Wildfire, and Coral Sea.
- Colour Me Romantic: which offers beautiful romantic shades of pink. Includes shades Bloom, Laughter, and Summer Rain
- Colour Me Natural: which is a selection of natural and nude shades. Includes shades Warm Wood, Sandstone, and Precious.
If you know me, you’ll know I would have opted for the Colour Me Romantic selection, with the soft pink tones. Being a huge fan of this brand, I actually already owned these shades, so I opted for the Colour Me Natural set. I wear quite simple makeup and I find that pink or nude toned shades work really well on me, so I was keen to try out some of these pretty nude shades.
Warm Wood is a brown toned nude and it’s almost a little orange toned in colour. It’s a very rich and striking colour and when I first tried it on, I wasn’t sure if it suited me but it’s really grown on me. Since I’m quite pale, I find this colour looks best when I am wearing slightly more full on makeup, as it balances out the deepness of this shade.
Sandstone is your classic natural nude and it’s an easy to wear shade. Every girl needs a lipstick like this in her collection. This one is lovely and creamy, but it lasts on the lips for a decent amount of time. This one has quickly become a favourite of mine and recently I’ve been pairing it with my Lily Lolo Soft Nude Lip Liner.
Precious is my favourite of all three, and I bet you can see why. It’s the perfect pinky nude that just has Sarah Lilly written all over it. This is my kind of shade and it has become a ‘keep in the handbag’ colour for me, as it’s just so easy to apply and works well with most outfits and makeup looks.
The Living Nature lipsticks usually retail for $33 each, and these gift sets are currently $75, so this is a fantastic way to buy these shades. They would make a great Christmas present (for either a friend or yourself 😉 )and they come so beautifully presented.
