Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms

Burt’s Bees recently sent me out a press release containing six of their new Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balms and I’ll admit I was pretty excited. These guys make a great lip balm, and I’ve been a fan of their Mango flavoured balm for quite some time now. If I’m feeling lazy, I’ll quite often skip lipstick and just slick on a little balm instead, so tinted lip balms are the perfect product for someone like me – hydration and colour! They sent me all six shades to try out and they came packaged in the cutest little bee tin – such a beautiful way to showcase their products!

Now I’ve noticed that not all of the Burt’s Bees products are completely natural, and there are some products in their range that I do avoid. Their lip balms are 100% natural and are packed with lots of butters and oils to provide the lips with long lasting hydration and a pretty soft tint. They are designed to moisturise for up to 8 hours, but I would say the 4-5 hour mark is more realistic.

There are six shades, all which offer a soft wash of colour – Sweet Violet, Hibiscus, Pink Blossom, Red Dahlia, Rose and Zinnia. They are all shades of pinks and reds and to be honest most of these look quite similar in terms of colour and I imagine that all of them would suit various skin tones.

Overall I love the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms and I think these new Tinted Balms make a great addition to any makeup bag. I’ll be popping one in the handbag  for those days where I’ve forgotten to apply lippy or I just need a little colour.

I only have one issue with these – they seem to retail for quite different prices depending on where you purchase. I’ve seen them anywhere from $9.99 to $18.00 each – at $10 they are totally worth it, but $18 I think is getting a bit pricy for essentially a lip balm with a hint of colour.

Please note: I was sent this product as a PR sample for consideration. These views are my personal opinion and are no way influenced by others. I always provide an honest opinion, so you all know which products are worth purchasing
