My Favourite Natural Cleanser

100% Pure Brightening Cleanser

In terms of skincare, 100% Pure has been a brand that I have really gravitated towards in recent months. Their beautiful clean formulas are packed with tonnes of natural ingredients that care for, and improve, the look and feel of the skin. One of my absolute favourite products from this brand is the 100% Pure Brightening Cleanser, and I’m currently on my second bottle of this amazing stuff. It’s a foaming cleanser, and before using this product, I was not much of a fan of foaming products. I can say I’m now converted, as this foaming cleanser is so easy to dispense and use and it feels almost velvety smooth on the skin.

This cleanser is part of the popular Brightening Range, and while I’ve found it works wonders for brightening the complexion, it also helps to improve blemished skin. When I started using this cleanser I was suffering from a lot of small breakouts on my forehead and small bumps under the skin on my chin area. Within a few weeks of using this cleanser, these started to clear up. Of course my skin got worse before it got better, as everything was coming to the surface, but after about a month my skin was noticeable clearer and smoother and much less congested. I feel this cleanser has really improved my skin tone as it appears much more even, smoother and much brighter. I’ve found myself getting away with less and less makeup as a result, as I have less redness I have to try and hide.

100% Pure Brightening Cleanser

So what makes this so good? There is an impressive ingredients list all of which are completely natural (and some are even organic – bonus points there!).  Here’s a few of the key ingredients….

  • Lemon juice brightens the skin, while also reducing acne and helping to fade acne scars.
  • Kojic acid helps to naturally lighten the skin, while also lightening dark spots and scars. This ingredient is a good natural alternative to chemical skin lighteners
  • Aloe juice  helps to nourish and hydrate the skin. This is the base ingredient in this cleanser and is a much better base than water!
  • Strawberries and liquorice help to brighten the skin naturally and improve skin tone
  • Fruit acids and Vitamin C reduce a dull complexion and help to smooth and soften the skin

I like to use the 100% Pure Brightening Cleanser in conjunction with my Clarisonic for the ultimate deep clean. After cleansing my skin feels very clean and fresh, without feeling stripped or dry. Lemon juice can sometimes be a little harsh on the skin, but the other nourishing ingredients help to balance this cleanser out, returning moisture to the skin. If your skin is super dry, this might not be the best cleanser for you (or you may wish to use a heavier moisturiser after). For normal and oily skin, this cleanser is absolutely perfect. This product can also be used as a makeup remover, however I prefer to still use my coconut oil based remover over this as I feel it does a better job. Even though it contains citrus products, this cleanser does not sting or irritate the eyes or eye area, so it’s a great option if you have sensitive eyes.

Simple No Makeup Makeup Look

If you are struggling with uneven skin tone, dull skin, or blemishes, then I really cannot recommend the 100% Pure Brightening Cleanser enough. It does take a few weeks to see results, and things might get worse before they get better, but I promise this is one product worth sticking with.  The 100% Brightening Cleanser retails for $39.99 NZD and you can purchase from Oh Natural  in NZ. If you’re in Aussie, I recommend picking yours up from Nourished Life, and anywhere else in the world, head to the official 100% Pure website.
