One Brand MOTD: Dr Hauschka

One Brand MOTD: Dr Hauschka

Dr Hauschka was one brand I had always looked at for years, but had never actually tried until I swapped to clean beauty. I had always thought of them as a skincare brand, and didn’t realise they actually had a makeup line, until I was browsing at my local Farmers store.  When I purchased my first product from them, I was immediately hooked by the long-lasting pigments and the beautiful silky formulas. When Dr Hauschka got in touch with me, I was absolutely thrilled and if you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen my rather excited story as I unboxed a whole heap of Dr Hauschka goodies.

Today I’ve created another “one brand makeup of the day” post for you using only Dr Hauschka products. A couple of these products are from their beautiful new range, and they have already become firm favourites in my collection. I plan to review a couple of these products over the next few weeks, to share my thoughts with you more in depth.

First I started with the Dr Hauschka Foundation in the shade 01*. This is actually quite full coverage, so I found I didn’t need to use any concealer.  I then set this with the Colour Correcting Powder in 00*. This powder not only sets the foundation, but also helps to even out the skintone resulting in an even appearance of the skin.

Next up I applied the Rouge Powder Duo Blush. This pretty floral blush was limited edition, but for something similar you could apply the Rouge Powder in the shade #3 Blushing Rose.

For my eyes, I filled in my brows using Ecobrow in the shade Penelope. I then applied the chocolate brown shade of the Eye Trio to my lids and blended it out into the crease using a fluffy brush. This brown shade is my absolute go to as it looks beautiful applied by itself and it blends out wonderfully. I also use this to line my lower lash line. Taking the cream shade, I applied that under my brow bone and in the corner of my eyes to make my eyes appear brighter and bigger. I finished off my eyes with the Volume Mascara*. This mascara separates and lengthens the lashes beautifully and gives an incredibly natural looking finish.

Finally for lips, I applied the Lipstick #06*. This beautiful fuchsia pink is bright and fun colour that can be easily worn to work or for a night out.

You can shop some of the Dr Hauschka products online here or here, but for a full range (including the new products) I’d suggest heading into your local Dr Hauschka counter.
