The Lonely Tee

Okay so Lonely has a bit of a cult-like following here in NZ, with both the Lonely Label clothing and the Lonely lingerie being super popular. I’ve never actually owned anything by the brand, due to the price (this girl’s on a budget), but I’ve had my eye on the Lonely Dino Tee ever since it came out. Who can say no to a grey marle (my fave) coloured tee with a T-Rex on the front screaming RARRWWWW. Nobody, that’s who.

Anyways last month I was working at the iD Fashion Week Designer sale with my friends who own the amazing skincare line Bee Yu. The Designer Sale is a very popular and much loved part of iD Dunedin Fashion Week, and it’s where designers from around NZ sell off old season items at ridiculously low prices. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen the little story I did showing what I got. A puffer jacket from Storm for $20 (normally $240), a green utility jacket from Storm for $30 (usually $230) and my coveted Lonely Label Dino Tee. Needless to say when I saw this on MAJOR sale I just had to buy it.

I can see why people love this brand. The fabric of the tee is so soft and I can tell it’s going to keep it’s shape nicely. The only thing I’m a tiny bit disappointed on is that I feel it runs a bit big, as this is a 6 and you can see it’s kinda oversized on me, especially through the sleeves. It’s also a little shorter than what I’m used to, so I love tucking the front part up into my high waisted jeans. I am all about the fitted T-shirts, so this slightly oversized option is a little different to what I’m used to!
