Virtuous Skincare Skin Repair Cream Review

Virtuous Skincare Skin Repair Cream

Recently I’ve been lucky enough to try out a New Zealand made skincare brand called Virtuous Skincare. The brand is the brainchild of Lisa West, a qualified Naturopath, Herbalist, and Theraputic Massage Therapist who creates her skincare line from her home in New Plymouth.

Virtuous Skincare’s main product is the Skin Repair Cream – a nourishing cream designed to work with many different skin types and assist with skin repair. This cream is completely natural and contains 8 key ingredients that are all chosen for their ability to repair the skin and relieve skin issues. Some of these ingredients are personal favourites of mine, including Manuka, Chamomile and Rosehip. Virtuous Skincare are really open and honest about the ingredients used in their product, which is so refreshing to see! You can see a full list of their ingredients and what they do here.

While this cream is super nourishing and kind to the skin, it’s also been designed to help assist with skin issues. This cream can be used on a wide variety of skin troubles, including the following:

  • Aging skin
  • Acne
  • Dry, flaky, chapped skin
  • New scarring
  • Cuts and abrasions
  • Stretch marks
  • Sunburn & windburn
  • Insect bites
  • Pigmentation

Since it’s incredibly gentle, it’s also safe enough to use on sensitive skin and young children’s skin.

Virtuous Skincare Skin Repair Cream

I’ve personally been using this cream on areas where I get dry and cracked skin, such as my heels and back of my hands. Every winter, the backs of my hands get awfully dry – almost to the point where they start bleeding. I’ve been using the Skin Repair cream once a day and I haven’t had an issue this winter – it’s almost magical! I’ve also been using this cream on my legs, where I get very dry skin and I’ve noticed a massive improvement since doing so. If I forget for a couple of days, my skin feels dry and rough to the touch, and that’s usually enough of a reminder to pop a little more on.

Also I’ve been using the Virtuous Skincare Skin Repair Cream on my face, as Lisa suggested it to help with healing my skin from acne. I’ve been using it in place of my night cream a few nights a week, and I love how it makes my skin feel afterwards. The cream is quite thick, and at first I thought it might have been too heavy for my face, but it blends in wonderfully and leaves my skin soft to the touch.

My boyfriend sometimes gets irritated skin on his arms, and I recommended he gave this product a try. Just a few moments after he had applied it, he noticed his skin felt less irritated and itchy. If something gets the tick from the boyfriend, then you know it’s got to be good!

The Virtuous Skincare Skin Repair cream is available on the Virtuous Skincare website and retails for $39.95 for a 100 gram bottle. I find a little of this cream goes a long way, so a tube will last sometime and it’s such a versatile product. If you suffer from any skin conditions, I highly recommend you give this product a try.
