6 Must Have Items For Fall

6 Must Have Items for Fall

Fall, Autumn… whatever you want to call it …. is it too soon to be talking about this glorious season? I know we still have a couple of weeks of summer left, but I just can’t help but get excited at the prospect of slightly cooler days and all of the Fall fashion coming into stores. I love all the layers and accessories that comes with it, and I’ll admit that I’ve actually been planning my cooler weather outfits for a month or so now! With so many beautiful pieces and trends available at the moment, I’ve rounded up some of the best and most versatile. Here are the 6 must have items for fall – all of these I’ll be adding to my wardrobe! Let me know what your must-haves are below!

The Leopard Scarf

This is such a fun way to try the leopard trend if you aren’t quite ready to invest in a leopard print coat. Adding a splash of leopard print to your outfit is a fun way to add pattern, and since it’s pretty much a neutral, it works with many different colours. If scarves aren’t your thing, you can always opt for animal print shoes or bags for that leopard print pop!

The Oversized Jumper

Jumpers are quite possibly my favourite thing about the colder months! Oversized jumpers are even better as they are super snuggly, yet perfectly on trend. You can layer under them too, and I love to wear a fitted merino under mine. Alternatively, for the slightly warmer days, oversized jumpers look really cute when worn slightly off the shoulder and over a bralette.

The Checked Blazer

The checked blazer has been everywhere on Instagram over the Northern Hemisphere winter, and I can’t see this trend going anywhere for our winter either. Blazers are an easy way to add warm layers, and the checked print is a classic. They work well styled with both pants and dresses, and some contain wool which can be worn into Winter also.

The Faux Fur Vest

Is there a better time to wear a faux fur vest than Fall? Again, I love to layer my outfits, so vests and gilets are the perfect option to layer over sweaters and jumpers. Faux fur is very much on trend again this season, and this is an easy way to incorporate this trend into your wardrobe. They are also wearable through Winter and Spring too!

The Baker Boy Cap

I love wearing hats in the cooler months, and the baker boy cap is back. These hats are generally made from a canvas or a wool blend, and I love the ones with the corded detail in the front. They are a classic style, that works well with most Fall/Winter outfits. I personally love them in black, but there are many different colours such as blush and tan which are gorgeous too!

The Longline Cardigan

I remember years ago, it was almost impossible to buy a cardigan. I’m so happy to see that they are a recurring trend now, as cardis are just so comfy and snuggly to wear. I’m loving the slightly longer styles, as they pair well with dark denim or leather, and can be either worn casually, or dressed up for evening wear. I’m especially loving the neutral tones that are available at the moment – think blush, white, oatmeal, and soft grey!

The Moto Jacket

Biker or moto jackets have been popular for quite sometime now, and it’s so easy to see why – they are so easy to style! Throw one on and they make any outfit look slightly more edgy, plus they keep you warm on those cooler days. I’m currently loving the blush leather moto jackets and the brown suede styles, however there are so many colours and styles to choose from! I always like to size up when I buy leather jackets, so that I can still layer knitwear under it, and continue wearing it through winter!

Absolutely agree with you. I have a couple of checked blazers and love to wear scarves too.
