Just a quick post tonight as I realised I haven’t shared many of my beauty favourites on here lately! I used to talk about beauty products all the time, and it’s something that I am SO passionate about, but yet I feel I hardly ever share much about makeup and skincare anymore. So I thought I’d share a few of the products that I’m really loving at the moment.
I have found, like many others, that I’ve gone more for skincare rather than makeup – preferring to fix the canvas rather than paint over it. My skin is feeling and looking so good at the moment, so I’ve found myself not wearing an awful lot of makeup, hence why most of these products are skincare and body care products. I also plan to do a post soon about my go-to makeup. I’ve been using a makeup brand for the past few months which I absolutely LOVE, so stay tuned for that! In the meantime, here’s my current beauty favourites!
BEAN BODY FACIAL EXFOLIANT*
This is a very new addition to my skincare routine! This Bean Body Facial Exfoliant was included in the July Bellabox and it’s bloody amazing. It’s a gentle exfoliator made from crushed coffee grounds and coconut oil. It’s effective at exfoliating and smoothing the skin, and the oils leave your skin feeling super soft. Plus it smells like coffee and it has quickly become one of my favourite products to use in the morning!
FOXGLOW PERFUME “ADDICT”
I am loving perfume at the moment, yet I still try to use more natural options. I discovered Foxglow perfumes last year and immediately became hooked! These are roll-on perfumes made from perfume oil and mineral oil. This “Addict” scent smells exactly like YSL Black Opium which is my favourite scent of all time. The roll-on makes it so easy to use and can be kept in your handbag, and it is super long lasting. I pop this on in the morning and can still smell it in the evening. ESSANO VITAMIN C BRIGHTENING MOISTURISER*
I reviewed this product in full last week (read the review here) and this Brightening Moisturiser has quickly become one of my favourite daily moisturisers. It has a SPF15 which is perfect for winter (especially for someone like me who always forgets to apply SPF!) and it contains Vitamin C to help brighten and smooth the skin. One of the key things I look for in skincare is brightening, as my skin can get a bit dull and rough, and I’ve found the whole Essano Vitamin C Range to be brilliant. This is a product I reach for daily, so naturally, I had to include it in my current beauty favourites!
BURTS BEES LIP BALM*
Burt’s Bees lip balm has been my go-to for years now. I love these all natural beeswax balms – they are super hydrating and are made from natural ingredients and contain no nasties. While regular lip balms can actually dry your lips out, these all natural balms are packed with goodies to help keep your lips soft and totally kissable! I am currently loving the Coconut and Pear scent – it’s so beautiful!
ESSANO ALUMINIUM FREE ROLL ON*
I’ve been using the Essano Aluminium-free Roll On’s for a couple of months now and actually have a full review of these coming up soon. I love the Essano brand and have found these roll on’s to be absolutely brilliant as a natural, aluminium-free roll on deodorant. I love this Lily Flower scent, it’s so delicate and won’t clash with any perfume or body products you choose the wear.
THE ORDINARY SERUM FOUNDATION
I’ve talked about this serum foundation quite a bit on my Instagram, and months on it’s still a favourite. This is one of my everyday go-tos. It’s super easy to apply and wear. It’s also long lasting and doesn’t look heavy or cakey on the skin. This mid-coverage foundation is great for if you are wanting to look put together but don’t have time (or can’t be bothered) doing full makeup. There are also a lot of shades and undertones to choose from, so it’s likely you’ll easily be able to find a perfect match. For reference I am shade 1.2N
ERE PEREZ AVOCADO WATERPROOF MASCARA
Mascara will forever be my #1 go-to product, so it’s something I am super picky with! I’ve used the Ere Perez Mascara in the past, and accidentally bought this Avocado Waterproof version instead of their Almond Mascara. I am SO glad I did however, as this mascara is amazing! In the few weeks since I’ve been using it, my lashes have grown so much and I’m guessing it’s due to the nourishing natural ingredients. It does a beautiful job of separating and lengthening my lashes, and when they say waterproof they MEAN WATERPROOF. This stuff doesn’t budge until you take it off. It does take a wee bit more work to remove at the end of the day, but I find it comes off well with either my oil cleanse or my Microfibre Face Washer.
