Lust Minerals Pro Finish Foundation Review

Lust Minerals Review

I’ve been on the green beauty train for over four years now. In that time I’ve tried a number of green beauty brands, and found  a few new makeup favourites along the way. But one brand I’ve been really taken with lately is Lust Minerals. I first spotted them on Instagram and after following them for a while I was sold.

Lust Minerals is an Australian based brand which sells a wide range of mineral based makeup. While not every single item they have is 100% natural, a good chunk of it is, and the rest is designed to be a cleaner alternative to traditional makeup. After chatting with their team (who are amazing at colour matching you), I was super impressed by how friendly and helpful their customer service team are! Everyone I spoke with was really lovely and they colour matched me perfectly!

I’ve been using the Lust Minerals Pro Finish for close to a year now, so I thought it was the perfect time to share my thoughts. The Pro Finish is a full coverage, liquid foundation that goes on like a dream and is super easy to blend out. I like to use a damp blending sponge, but it applies well with a brush too.  You can layer on as much as you like, and it’s buildable from medium to full coverage.

Lust Minerals Pro Finish Foundation

Probably the best thing about this foundation is it’s wear time. It wears so well, doesn’t go cakey or turn orange or crease. After 12 hours it looks just as good as it did when you applied it, and there are honestly not many foundations I can say that about! It also doesn’t feel like you are wearing a lot of makeup – it just feels like skin. I don’t feel like I am wearing a full coverage foundation, and I feel like my skin can still breathe. I haven’t had any skin issues in the entire year I’ve been using this foundation, so can safely say it’s definitely non comedogenic. For extra long wear, I do recommend using this in conjunction with a Lust Primer – I love the Mattifying one!

For colour reference, I wear the shade #02 normally and #06 when I am tanned. There are 10 shades in total, ranging from fairly pale through to a darker amber shade. There are definitely a lot of shades in the paler-medium range, so potentially someone with darker skin may struggle to find their right shade – hopefully they will eventually add some more darker shades in there!

Below is a before and after with the #02 foundation. I’ve also used the Lust Matifying Primer, Bronzer, Highlight, & Setting Powder too!

You can also pick up this one in 5ml trial sizes which is enough product to do your makeup a few times. This gives you the chance to select the correct colour and also ensure this product works well with your skin.

The Pro Finish Foundation is $61.99 AUD, and you can get $15 off your order by clicking here!
